Job Summary

Dorset Councils is seeking a skilled Family Transition Manager to join their Special Guardianship Team. In this role, you will support kinship carers and young people in transition, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and care to succeed. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments of Supported Lodgings Hosts, providing regular support and supervision, and contributing to the development of the service.

We are looking for an experienced social worker with a strong understanding of childcare legislation and fostering standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written reports and meet deadlines. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, with a salary of approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
