Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team within Children and Young People's Psychological Services (CYPPS) - East Lancashire.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with children, young people, and their parents/carers. They will be able to contribute a psychological perspective within the context of multidisciplinary and multiagency care.

The service is a lively, dynamic, and supportive service with a range of clinical interests and developments. We are committed to CPD and supervision and encourage innovation and development, as well as contributing to local Clinical Psychology Training courses.

As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will have delegated responsibility for discreet aspects of our specialist psychological therapy services. You will join the senior management team for the service and contribute to service developments and leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational, clinical, and professional leadership to colleagues
  • Offer clinical supervision to clinical colleagues in our services
  • Develop and implement psychological therapy services for children, young people, and their families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
