Bradford College is committed to supporting students in achieving their full potential. As an Attendance and Punctuality Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our students attend classes regularly and on time.

About the Role

This term-time position, working 37 hours per week over 40 weeks, involves managing the day-to-day administration of attendance and punctuality. You will work collaboratively with school attendance administrators to report, record, and improve attendance figures for students accessing our provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people by actively engaging with them to understand their needs and concerns regarding attendance.
  • Administer and report student late/absent data to the home school, utilizing the school MIS system for accurate records.
  • Verify electronic registers and follow up on missing entries with staff members to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular absence checks and initiate truancy investigations as necessary, focusing on students at risk of truanting.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and key staff members regarding individual student progress and attendance issues.
  • Liaise with support services to enhance attendance rates through targeted interventions and initiatives.
  • Work closely with new staff to ensure they understand school registration systems and participate in developing reward systems to promote good attendance.
  • Develop and manage accurate registration systems, reporting on quality and adherence to standards.
  • Establish relationships with feeder schools during the referral period to gather relevant attendance information.
  • Analyze and present attendance patterns to inform performance management reviews and parents' evenings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance and punctuality policies and procedures.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
