Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare, a leading mental health charity. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work with individuals with complex mental health needs within a forensic hospital setting. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for advocating on behalf of patients and ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Provide expert advice and guidance on mental health legislation and practice
- Conduct assessments and investigations to identify patient needs and risks
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Masters degree in social work or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience working in mental health and/or forensic settings
- Expertise in British Sign Language (BSL) and proficiency in communicating with deaf patients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
