The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of allocated projects, including monitoring and reporting on commercial and cost reporting aspects. They will also support the programme and project teams in monitoring for Contract compliance and compliance with national Highways and Client requirements.

The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement. They will provide proactive advice and guidance to Programme/Project Managers on all change including proposed scope changes, and produce all required documentation for approval in accordance with levels of delegated authority.

The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for producing appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions. They will ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly upon close out.

Additionally, the Commercial Manager will manage the final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority.

Qualifications
  • Shall be Educated to degree standard in related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior management and department leads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
