Job Overview

Hampshire County Council is committed to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to UASC and refugee young people and children.

We are looking for a qualified and registered Social Worker with experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with children and families.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deciding which risks and care/support needs fall within the Department's agreed priorities and eligibility criteria
  • Determining the most appropriate level and type of service provision to meet identified needs/risks
  • Crafting care plans within statutory and legal frameworks
  • Managing day-to-day case activities, such as arranging and conducting meetings

The salary for this role is approximately £38,000-£43,000 per annum, depending on experience.
