Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Proftech Talent. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily/Weekly/Monthly Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our mechanical equipment.
  2. Breakdown Response: Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
  3. Inventory Management: Report parts used from stock to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  4. Analysis and Improvement: Assist in the analysis of breakdowns, suggest corrective actions, and implement improvements to prevent future issues.
  5. Equipment Installation and Modification: Install new equipment and modify existing systems to meet regulatory requirements.
  6. Training and Development: Assist in training apprentices and contribute to the development of our maintenance team.
  7. Overtime and Call-Outs: Work a reasonable amount of overtime and participate in call-out cover as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: C+G part 3 or ONC/IHNC qualification.
  2. Experience: Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance.
  3. Skills: Good competency with hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, fault-finding, and experience with motors and drives.
  4. Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team or solo.

Bonus Experience/Qualifications:

  1. Foundry Experience: Previous experience in a foundry environment.
  2. Banksman Training: Certificate in banksman training.
  3. Forklift Truck/Access Equipment Training: Training in forklift truck and access equipment operation.
  4. Machining Skills: Ability to use lathe, milling machine, grinders, and other machinery.
