Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

CV Library is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Stafford. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm
  • Friday: 7am - 2pm

You will need to be flexible to work occasional weekends and may be required to work on a shift pattern in the future.

Salary: Circa £40,000 per year (negotiable for the right candidate).

Job Duties:

  • Routine and breakdown maintenance
  • Electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Mechanical repairs and part fabrication
  • Working on a variety of filling, packaging and production machinery
  • Swift response to machinery breakdowns to ensure continuous production
  • Occasional overtime to complete urgent repairs and cover for team members during holidays or illness
  • Adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • 18th Edition Electrical qualifications
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an FMCG environment
  • Ability to work with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training
  • Additional skills such as MEWP, FLT, first aid, and TIG welding are advantageous
  • Agile and capable of working in various positions, including using ladders
