Mechanical Maintenance Role

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance tasks
  2. Respond to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
  3. Manage stock levels and report parts used
  4. Assist in analyzing breakdowns and suggesting improvements
  5. Carry out modifications to plant and equipment
  6. Install new equipment and assist in training apprentices
  7. Work overtime as required and participate in call-out cover

Requirements

  1. Hold a C+G part 3 or ONC/HNC qualification
  2. Have time-served experience (apprenticeship)
  3. Be competent in hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and fault finding
  4. Have experience with motors and drives, including gear motors and reduction gearboxes
  5. Be able to read and understand engineering drawings
  6. Be willing to work as part of a team or independently

Bonus Experience / Qualifications

  1. Previous foundry experience
  2. Banksman training and certification
  3. Forklift truck and access equipment training
  4. Ability to use lathe, milling machine, and grinders
