Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  2. Respond promptly to breakdowns and report parts used to maintain accurate stock levels
  3. Assist in the analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues
  4. Modify plant equipment to meet regulatory requirements and install new equipment as needed
  5. Assist in training apprentices and work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals
  6. Work a reasonable amount of overtime as required to meet business needs

Requirements

  1. C+G part 3 or ONC/HNC qualification
  2. Time served apprenticeship experience
  3. Strong competency in hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and fault finding
  4. Experience with motors and drives, including gear motors, reduction gearboxes, and overhead cranes
  5. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Bonus Experience / Qualifications

  1. Previous foundry experience
  2. Banksman training and certification
  3. Forklift truck and access equipment training
  4. Ability to use lathe, milling machine, and grinders
