Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

CV Library is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Stafford. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm
- Friday: 7am - 2pm
You will need to be flexible to work occasional weekends and may be required to work on a shift pattern in the future.
Salary: Circa £40,000 per year (negotiable for the right candidate).

Job Duties:
- Routine and breakdown maintenance
- Electrical fault finding and repairs
- Mechanical repairs and part fabrication
- Working on a variety of filling, packaging and production machinery
- Swift response to machinery breakdowns to ensure continuous production
- Occasional overtime to complete urgent repairs and cover for team members during holidays or illness
- Adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
- 18th Edition Electrical qualifications
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an FMCG environment
- Ability to work with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
- Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training
- Additional skills such as MEWP, FLT, first aid, and TIG welding are advantageous
- Agile and capable of working in various positions, including using ladders
