Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and report parts used to maintain accurate stock levels
- Assist in the analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues
- Modify plant equipment to meet regulatory requirements and install new equipment as needed
- Assist in training apprentices and work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime as required to meet business needs
Requirements
- C+G part 3 or ONC/HNC qualification
- Time served apprenticeship experience
- Strong competency in hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and fault finding
- Experience with motors and drives, including gear motors, reduction gearboxes, and overhead cranes
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Bonus Experience / Qualifications
- Previous foundry experience
- Banksman training and certification
- Forklift truck and access equipment training
- Ability to use lathe, milling machine, and grinders
