Key Responsibilities

  • Daily and weekly inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns and report parts used from stock
  • Assist in the analysis of breakdowns and suggest corrective actions
  • Modify plant to regulations and install equipment
  • Assist in training apprentices and work overtime as needed

Requirements

  • C+G part 3 or ONC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Time served in an apprenticeship
  • Good competency in hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and fault finding
  • Experience with motors and drives
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

  • Previous foundry experience
  • Banksman training and certificate
