Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer - Apprentice to join our team at Finning International. As a key member of our Preventative Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational availability of our customers' equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of heavy mobile plant equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their equipment needs and provide tailored maintenance solutions.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance services.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a related engineering function, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or military vehicle maintenance.
  • Formal apprenticeship qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of heavy mobile plant equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
