At the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Major Trauma Rehabilitation service. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to provide specialist rehabilitation input to our 10-bedded inpatient unit and multidisciplinary outpatient clinic.

Job Responsibilities
  • To provide high-standard occupational therapy care to non-complex, complex, and highly complex patients within specialty, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and independence of judgment.
  • As a clinical lead, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist knowledge within the Trust and externally to therapists and other healthcare professionals from secondary and primary care across the region.

Our ideal candidate will have significant post-registration experience, including experience within physical health, and a strong understanding of functional assessment and activity analysis. You will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to reflect and critically appraise your own performance.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
