About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Care Assistant, you will work closely with a mature lady who has suffered a brain injury, providing support and assistance in her daily life.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide personal care, including assisting with rehabilitation programmes, increasing independence, and supporting leisure activities. You will also be required to accompany the client in the community, assist with domestic duties, and undertake training and supervision as agreed by the Case Manager.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, reliable, and professional, with excellent communication skills. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the client's automatic car.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to the client
  • Assist with rehabilitation programmes and increase independence
  • Accompany the client in the community
  • Undertake domestic duties in the client's home
  • Work within agreed care techniques and strategies documented in the care plan

Salary: £13 per hour (weekdays), £14 per hour (evenings), £35 per hour sleep-in shift, double time on bank holidays
