**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled Disability Employment Adviser to join our Employment Futures Team at North East Autism Society.

As a Disability Employment Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing initial assessment and eligibility checks for potential job seekers. You will also provide individuals with appropriate guidance on local services and forums for support, promote inclusive employment and disability confident practice with employers, and inspire and raise employment aspirations of job seekers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess referrals and identify suitable job seekers for our programmes.
  • Provide guidance on local services and forums for support.
  • Promote inclusive employment and disability confident practice with employers.
  • Inspire and raise employment aspirations of job seekers.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work under your own initiative. You should be comfortable working with vulnerable adults and have a good understanding of disability employment initiatives.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £32,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a generous annual leave entitlement of 36 days (pro rata), pension scheme with employer contributions, instant access to up to 40% of your salary as you earn it, employee discounts on over 130,000 shops and entertainment venues, access to Blue Light Card, free eye tests and Employee Assistance Programme to support health and wellbeing, and refer-a-friend scheme – receive £500.
