Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Support Specialist to join our team at Cragston Court, a 20-bedded residential rehabilitation and recovery unit located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical support and responsive care to service users who require assistance in their rehabilitation and recovery journey.

Main Duties:

To observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents, ensuring any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.

Provide specific interventions with service users as delegated by a Registered Nurse, following training and competency attainment.

Contribute to a team approach to residential care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A strong understanding of mental health principles and practices is essential, along with experience in working with vulnerable adults.
