Job Title: Head of Business Support

We are seeking a proactive health and safety management professional to join our team as our Head of Business Support. This is a unique opportunity to champion health and safety across our organization and contribute to our mission of providing safe, empowering environments for vulnerable women and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Manage the Business Support Team, ensuring all properties and spaces remain safe and well-equipped for staff and service users.
  • Line manage the Facilities Manager and Office Co-ordinator.
  • Compile regular quality and H&S reports.
  • Undertake regular H&S inspections and investigate safety concerns.
  • Develop H&S communication programmes.
  • Manage the H&S reporting system and external IT support provider.
Requirements
  • Health and safety management experience in residential property, social housing, maintenance, or facilities.
  • Experience managing health and safety databases and using IT systems.
  • Knowledge of contractor management.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and environmental impacts and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
  • IOSH managing safely qualification.
  • NEBOSH National General Certification.
  • Chartered status of IOSH (or an equivalent membership body).
  • Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong background in health and safety management, with experience in residential property, social housing, maintenance, or facilities. You will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary, 25 days of annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays), increasing up to 30 days, with one additional day offered after each completed year of service. We also offer flexible working, an Employee Assistance Programme, and a range of staff wellbeing initiatives.
