Job Title: Transport Manager

Job Summary:

Bis Henderson is seeking a highly experienced Transport Manager to lead our depot operations and ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within a customer-centric transport operation and hold a Transport Manager CPC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organise the effective running of day-to-day business
  • Deal with the logistics department to ensure drivers are running to a time-efficient schedule and adhere to drivers' hours and Working Time Directive rules
  • Generate regular reports to be presented to the Board with agreed KPIs
  • Liaise with clientele to ensure customer service and business analysis
  • Manage, audit and review compliance systems to ensure they are effective

Requirements:

  • Track record in a similar role within a customer-centric transport operation
  • Transport Manager CPC is essential
  • Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPIs
  • Ensuring site compliance with all relevant employment/transport legislation
  • Understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law and H&S legislation
