Job Description: Child Protection Practitioner
At Westminster Council, we are committed to providing excellent social care services to our community. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Practitioner to join our team.
Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of families, conducting risk assessments, and developing intervention plans. You will also prepare court reports, provide expert testimony, and work closely with children and families to address their needs.
A key requirement for this role is a strong understanding of child protection laws, practices, and frameworks. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 8-12 families
- Conduct high-quality risk assessments and interventions
- Prepare court reports and provide expert testimony as required
- Attend CP conferences, CIN meetings, and work directly with children and families
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience within Children's Services Social Work
- Proven experience in child protection, court work, and working with CIN
Benefits: Excellent salary package, including £37 per hour
