Complex Child Protection Practitioner

We are looking for a Complex Child Protection Practitioner to join our team in Southwark. As a Senior Social Worker, you will work closely with a Local Authority to provide focused and purposeful social work in complex situations.
Rate of Pay: £28.22 - £37.00 per Hour
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have experience in providing systemically informed social work within a local authority's practice framework. They will establish and maintain professional relationships with children and their families, developing trust and assisting in safeguarding children, resolving conflict and promoting positive and timely outcomes.
The ideal candidate will deliver social work practice informed by statutory guidance, best evidence and research knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide systemically informed social work within Southwark's practice framework
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with children and their families
- Deliver social work practice informed by statutory guidance and research knowledge
Requirements:
- Knowledge of childcare legislation, statutory guidance and London Child Protection Procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of child development, parenting capacity, environmental factors and risk and protective factors
- Recognised social work qualification and current registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England, including appropriate continuing professional development
