Senior Mental Health Role with a Welcome Bonus

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Award-Winning Under 18's Crisis Service as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. This role involves supporting young people and their families across Norfolk and Waveney.

The team offers community-based intensive support to children, young people & their families. Our goal is to establish trusting therapeutic relationships, reducing risks when children & young people experience high levels of distress.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide mental health support and interventions to children, young people, and their families in a community setting.
  • To work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.
  • To assess and manage risks associated with mental health issues.

This post attracts a £3000 recruitment premium (pro-rata for part-time roles), paid in two installments: half upon appointment and half after completing a satisfactory probation period.

Requirements
  • Nursing degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., Dip OT, Clinical Psychology).
  • At least 12 months of post-qualification experience in a mental health setting.
  • Ability to travel independently.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Risk assessment knowledge and skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and internet use.
  • Familiarity with psychosocial interventions and local policies/guidelines.
