About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Wallington. As a key member of our Visitor Experience team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our visitors, ensuring that everyone feels welcome, informed, and included.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative and inclusive activities to engage diverse audiences in the heritage, culture, arts, and conservation sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all visitors have a memorable experience at Wallington.
  • Supervise a team of up to 5 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional visitor experiences.
  • Work closely with the Programming & Partnerships Manager, Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, and Visitor Welcome Manager to develop and implement seasonal programming.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in creating innovative, inclusive activities for diverse audiences in the heritage, culture, arts, and conservation sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure and assess results, learning from data and producing meaningful feedback.
  • Experience in supervising a team and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of self-management and organization.
