About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Assistant Ranger to join our team at Cragside, one of the most popular visitor attractions in the North East. As a key member of our estate maintenance team, you will play a vital role in delivering a variety of tasks to ensure the estate is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team in delivering the estate maintenance plan, including tasks such as maintaining footpaths, managing grass and vegetation, and renewing timber barriers.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered to our visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in your work, with a willingness to work outside in all weathers.

What We're Looking For

  • Practical experience in land, conservation, and access management to level 2 or 6 months vocational experience.
  • A positive and approachable attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work alone or under direction, and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a flexible and adaptable way.
