Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Darwin Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide 24-hour inpatient care to young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced team to develop crisis plans and coping strategies, manage risk, and provide holistic care to young people and their families. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of quality standards, including monitoring and reviewing current clinical guidance practice and policy. Your expertise will be essential in advocating for young people and their families, and ensuring that their needs are met in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to young people and their families
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and risk management strategies
- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people and their families, promoting independence and self-management
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure seamless transition of care and coordinate community services

Requirements

- Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or equivalent qualification
- NMC registration
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
- Experience working in inpatient services, preferably in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong assessment and planning skills, with ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Working Environment

The Darwin Centre is a welcoming and inclusive environment, committed to providing high-quality care and support to young people and their families. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. We offer a competitive salary range of £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
