Job Title: Privacy Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Legal Counsel to join our Data Privacy team at Entain. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Legal Counsel and UK DPO in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in executing transactions across the capital structure, including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate transactions.
  • Manage ancillary transaction and other corporate documentation, including NDAs and engagement letters.
  • Support the preparation of internal papers summarising proposed transactions for review and approval by the board of Entain plc.
  • Support the business on other corporate initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with experience either in-house or at a law firm.
  • Degree-level qualified, such as Legal, Privacy or IT/Comms degree with a compliance add on.
  • Commercial contract experience.
  • Good attitude and solid work approach.
  • Multi-tasker, inquisitive and proactive self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Process orientated and excellent attention to detail.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive team and business issues.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation and other international data protection legislation.
  • International experience outside of the UK.
  • Digital or Sports Betting & Gaming experience.
  • Prior experience or knowledge with the OneTrust data privacy tool.
  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g. IAPP CIPM or CIPP/E.
