Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel, Privacy to join our S&P Global Market Intelligence legal team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated support to our business stakeholders, addressing a wide range of matters related to privacy and information security regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Privacy and Information Security: You will be responsible for drafting and implementing privacy strategies, negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and other privacy-related documentation with clients.
- Incident Response: You will assist with incident reports and reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- DORA Expertise: As part of the escalation point for DORA-related queries, you will draft appropriate DORA terms, negotiate with clients, and collaborate with information security teams affected by DORA.
- Legal Advisory: Your in-depth knowledge of privacy and information security laws and regulations will guide legal decisions. You will advise the legal team and business on various related matters, including commercial licensing transactions.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience as a practicing lawyer/legal counsel, with a background in commercial contracts from a law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Experience in both privacy and regulatory compliance in technology or financial company - must.
- Expertise in GDPR, DORA regulations-must, AI act and EBA Outsourcing Guidelines.
- Proficiency in negotiating and drafting commercial technology, data, and software licensing contracts.
- Ability to handle complex matters as an escalation point.
- Familiarity with compliance, intellectual property, and data privacy.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
