Privacy Counsel

ENGINEERINGUK is seeking a highly experienced Privacy Counsel to join our team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with lawyers and business leaders to prepare for and comply with new or evolving privacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement global privacy strategies to ensure compliance with European and U.S. law.
- Advise on privacy legal issues related to cloud computing services and develop governance frameworks and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative new products and services that meet privacy requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on data protection matters and ensure the organization's long-term strategy for privacy.
- 10+ years of post-qualification legal experience in-house or in private practice.
- Exceptional expertise in Data and Privacy matters or related regulatory matters.
- Experience with global privacy laws, including European and U.S. law.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous situations.
