Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal advice on data protection and privacy matters, ensuring that our business strategies align with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and assist on privacy law matters, including providing guidance on data subject rights, privacy complaints, and data incidents.
- Partner with our Data Protection Officer team to provide support and advice on escalated privacy matters.
- Interpret and apply current laws applicable to our business, identifying potential risks and mitigating them through effective legal strategies.
- Manage outside legal counsel globally, ensuring that our legal needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor industry trends and developments, staying up-to-date on the latest privacy-related laws and regulations.
- 2+ years PQE in the privacy/technology department at a leading law firm or in-house function.
- Excellent academics and training, with a strong understanding of data protection and privacy laws.
- Experience advising on privacy matters and supporting data protection compliance projects.
- Strong business judgment, creativity, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-impact scenarios and remain calm under pressure.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and strong organizational skills.
