The role of Housing Officer involves working with tenants who have enduring mental health conditions, managing their caseload and providing support to enable them to maintain their tenancies and achieve independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of tenants with mental health conditions, providing home visits and agreeing support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other local services and organisations providing support services to tenants.
  • Complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish relationships based on trust with different people.
  • IT literacy and flexibility in adapting to changing situations.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
