Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our finance team in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our businesses across these regions.
About the Role:- This is a Group support role that requires a positive and proactive attitude with the credibility to interact with senior staff and external customers.
- The role will be split 50/50 between two of our businesses; Core Technologies (based in Ireland) and VGUK (a UK holding company).
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accurate financial records.
- Create Purchase Orders and manage inventory levels.
- Create sales invoices and manage customer accounts.
- Credit Control and cash flow management.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Intercompany transactions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and cash management.
- Daily bank reconciliations, processing weekly payment runs, and one-off payments such as PAYE.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the Finance team.
- Ensure system rules are followed in line with Group policies and procedures.
- Numerical literacy with experience of the above tasks.
- Experience of using several different IT systems.
- Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise workload for time-sensitive activities.
- Good communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable, with a flexible, 'can do' attitude.
- A self-starter, able to work on their own, with good organisational skills but able to be part of a team environment.
