Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our finance team in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our businesses across these regions.

About the Role:
  • This is a Group support role that requires a positive and proactive attitude with the credibility to interact with senior staff and external customers.
  • The role will be split 50/50 between two of our businesses; Core Technologies (based in Ireland) and VGUK (a UK holding company).
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  2. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accurate financial records.
  3. Create Purchase Orders and manage inventory levels.
  4. Create sales invoices and manage customer accounts.
  5. Credit Control and cash flow management.
  6. Balance Sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
  7. Intercompany transactions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and cash management.
  8. Daily bank reconciliations, processing weekly payment runs, and one-off payments such as PAYE.
  9. Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the Finance team.
  10. Ensure system rules are followed in line with Group policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Numerical literacy with experience of the above tasks.
  • Experience of using several different IT systems.
  • Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritise workload for time-sensitive activities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable, with a flexible, 'can do' attitude.
  • A self-starter, able to work on their own, with good organisational skills but able to be part of a team environment.

Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
