Climate Change Modelling Specialist

GHGSat, Inc. is seeking a skilled Climate Change Modelling Specialist to join its team in London, UK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with expertise in climate change modelling to contribute to our emissions intelligence products. As a Climate Change Modelling Specialist, you will work closely with our Analytics Team to develop and implement data-driven solutions to complex climate change problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modelling and Simulation: Develop and apply advanced climate change models to simulate future emissions scenarios and assess their impacts on the environment.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse large datasets, identify trends and patterns, and develop insights to inform business decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Present findings to stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of company-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in climate change modelling, preferably in a research or consulting environment.
  • Education: MSc or higher in climate science, data science, computer science, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Core Competencies: Knowledge and experience in climate change modelling, statistical analysis, and data visualisation.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per year, depending on experience. GHGSat offers a competitive benefits package, including flexible working hours, health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
