At the Climate Parliament, we are seeking a highly skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and experience in fostering climate-friendly investments.

About the Role

We are looking for a consultant based in the UK or France to develop national, regional, and global communications strategies on climate-friendly investments for parliamentarians. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of communications platforms and effective strategies, as well as fluency in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

About the Project

The Climate Parliament will implement a new project - Parliamentarians for Climate Finance - in 15 African countries with support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The aim of this project is to increase the flow of public and private green investment to the participating countries by building the capacity of legislators on climate finance, convening dialogues with investors, and developing actionable ideas for parliamentary interventions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop national, regional, and global communications strategies on climate-friendly investments for parliamentarians.
  • Liaise with in-country staff for media opportunities in each country.
  • Contribute to the development of communications materials, event reports, flyers, infographics, etc.
  • Manage the Climate Parliament website.
About You

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to work without day-to-day supervision, and has a strong understanding of the climate change landscape. You will be required to travel for in-country and international events.

What We Offer

The contract will run until 31 March 2026, with a possibility of a three-month extension. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to a high-impact project, and develop your skills and expertise in climate communications.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a professional development allowance.
