About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our events team to contribute to our growth and success by planning and executing marketing activities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing B2B conferences and events, with direct experience in marketing automation and digital. You will have a confident approach to working in a fast-paced environment and a passion for marketing.

A deep understanding of climate change policy and sustainability is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of marketers and develop, manage, and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
  2. Digital Campaign Management: Set up and manage digital paid campaigns.
  3. Email Marketing: Execute email marketing strategies, including copywriting.
  4. Marketing Automation: Implement and manage marketing automations and workflows.
  5. Database Management: Manage and maintain marketing databases.
  6. Performance Reporting: Produce analytical and detailed reports on marketing performance.
  7. Marketing content creation and management, including copywriting and creative briefs.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in a senior B2B event marketing role within a commercial conference or exhibition company.
  2. An agile approach to working, where you can review results and adjust plans as you go to optimise results.
  3. Excellent project and time management, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  4. Superb work ethic, with a passion and enthusiasm for conceptualising, delivering, and growing marketing strategies.
  5. Strong digital marketing skills, plus an understanding of commercial content marketing.
  6. A highly creative approach to maximise small marketing budgets for maximum results.
  7. A strong understanding of social media channels (particularly Twitter and LinkedIn) and strategies, and the ability to leverage them effectively and commercially.
  8. A working knowledge and practical application of marketing awareness and other digital tools such as TweetDeck, Google Analytics, AdWords.
