Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Manager to join our team at a Children’s Residential Home in the Newport area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare and the ability to assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the home and implementing policies and procedures that meet the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of staff training and development programs
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the management team to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Prior experience as Deputy Manager of a Residential Home (preferred)
  • Strong staff management and organisational skills
  • A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance requirements

What We Offer:

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will benefit from:
