Behavioural Assistant Role - Academics, Wokingham

We are looking for a Behavioural Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and be able to work effectively with teachers and other staff members.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils with their behaviour in the classroom, helping them to understand teacher instructions and complete tasks. You will also work with individual learners in small groups, providing additional support and guidance as needed.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. If you are a patient and resilient individual with experience working with children with challenging behaviour, we encourage you to apply.

Job Description:

  • Assist pupils with their behaviour in the classroom
  • Help pupils understand teacher instructions and complete tasks
  • Work with individual learners in small groups, providing additional support and guidance
  • Keep track of pupil progress and record observations

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range £80-90 per day
  • Full-time position with 8:30am-4pm working hours
