Job Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Psychiatrist to join our team in NHS Highland, working with a diverse range of communities in the far north of Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care, developing service strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. A competitive salary package includes a base salary of £103,490 per annum, plus benefits such as a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist psychiatric care to patients across rural and urban communities.
  • Contribution to service development and strategic planning.
  • Collaboration with community teams, primary care professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Teaching and training activities to share expertise with students and trainees.

Essential Requirements:

  • GMC specialist registration in General Adult Psychiatry or within 6 months of CCT award by date of interview.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
