Medical Director for General Adult Community Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinician to join our team as a Psychiatrist in General Adult Community Psychiatry.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse communities in the far north of Scotland, providing comprehensive mental health services. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their skills and interests within a supportive environment.
The post requires participation in the Consultant on call rota at New Craigs Hospital. We offer competitive salary packages, including a base salary of £103,490 per annum, plus benefits such as a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality mental health care to patients across rural and urban communities.
- To contribute to the development of service strategies and initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
- To work collaboratively with community teams, primary care professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver effective care.
- To participate in teaching and training activities, sharing expertise with students and trainees.
Requirements:
- Membership of the GMC specialist register in General Adult Psychiatry or within 6 months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
