Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Inverness, Scotland. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide vital support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them navigate daily life with dignity and independence.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist clients with daily tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Challenging Behaviour Support: Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide critical support during times of crisis, helping clients navigate difficult moments.
  • Promoting Independence: Empower clients to live as independently as possible, building their confidence and skills.
  • Medication Support: Ensure that clients receive their medication safely and on time.
  • Specialist Clinical Care: Address complex clinical needs with expertise and compassion.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK.
  • The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Prior experience working with clients who have mental health challenges (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided).
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
  • This position requires applicants to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
