Senior Teaching Role for Students with Complex Needs

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled senior teacher to join our team at an independent special day school. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the education team and creating a meaningful and engaging learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with profound and complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to take on a senior role and make a real difference in the lives of students with complex needs. We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career development and progression. Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate senior teacher to join our education team, where we strive to provide the highest quality of education and outcomes for our young people in preparation for adult life. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a meaningful and engaging learning environment for students with complex needs. You will lead the education team and plan and deliver a curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners within your class, while also providing individualized support and accommodations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the education team and create a meaningful and engaging learning environment
  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum
  • Provide individualized support and accommodations as needed
  • Lead and direct other adults supporting within the class

Requirements:
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class
