Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized TB Nurse Specialist to join our proactive and supportive team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with tuberculosis, working closely with our lead TB Consultants to ensure the highest standards of care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage TB cases, conducting nurse-led clinics and providing specialist advice to patients, carers, and health professionals.
  • Attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and contribute to the development of innovative approaches to clinical services.
  • Supervise junior staff, teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students, and contribute to service development, business planning, and clinical governance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, working closely with the TB Lead Nurse and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local community groups and health professionals to support the management of TB patients in their homes, clinics, and acute hospital settings.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months' experience.
  • Critical thinking, reflection, and analysis skills to inform clinical assessments.
  • Flexible approach to meet the demands of the service.
  • Presentation skills to small and large groups (desirable).
  • Respiratory knowledge (desirable).
