Ashford Borough Council is committed to helping residents keep their homes warm, healthy and comfortable. We are seeking an experienced Community Energy Advisor to join our Climate and Energy Strategy Team.

This role will support residents to take control of their bills, save money and energy where possible, and access other appropriate services and grants available to them.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a schedule of 'in person' contacts through home visits, telephone calls and community events for the most vulnerable residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting residents to take control of their bills and save money on energy.
  • Delivering in-person contacts through home visits, telephone calls and community events.
  • Identifying and highlighting potential risks within operational systems or processes.
  • Staying up-to-date with the Warm Homes Agenda and relevant news articles, training, or internal communications.
  • Promoting the project at community events and workshops.
  • Writing update reports for councillors and senior officers.

Requirements:

We offer a competitive salary of £29,133 per annum, plus a lease car cash alternative of £2,080 pa.
