Grid Development Specialist

National Grid Interconnectors plays a vital role in shaping the UK's energy landscape. As a Grid Development Specialist, you'll be part of a team that supports Operations in delivering safe systems of work, while ensuring the highest level of operational performance. With a focus on health, safety, and environmental policies, you'll identify mitigation actions and reduce risks through systematic monitoring and checking of information.
You'll work closely with the Planning team to develop forward-looking perspectives on decision delivery, ensuring plans are in place to manage anticipated issues and consider contingency planning. This role requires individuals with strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically. We're looking for individuals with 2 A-levels at grade A-C in Maths and a science or equivalent, as well as GCSEs in Maths and English Language grade 5 or higher. Must have or be working towards a full UK driving licence.
The role offers a competitive salary of around £25,000-£30,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Our Higher Apprenticeship Programmes provide a unique opportunity to gain insight into our working practices, understand what a career with us can offer, and receive great rewards and benefits. Assessment centres will be held between January - April 2025.
