Strategic Communications Specialist

Job Summary
The University of Cambridge is seeking a skilled Communications Planner to join its Office of External Affairs and Communications. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of campaigns and regular communications to the University's external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and project manage the delivery of campaigns and regular communications to external audiences.
- Act as the key point of liaison between University audience leads and communications channel leads, as well as with external agencies and suppliers.
- Lead on the planning, production, and supply of Cambridge Alumni Magazine (CAM).
- Coordinate University teams and manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Manage correspondence with the magazine's readers.
Requirements
- Experience of integrated communications campaign planning, operational execution, and task management.
- Excellent organisational skills, with a good understanding of project planning and management.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of working with customer journey maps and/or communications scheduling planning tools.
- Experience of managing the production of printed materials and related workflows and systems.
