We are seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic communications and engagement team as a Strategic Communications Director. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in connecting and inspiring our staff through effective internal communications and engagement.

Main Responsibilities

As a Strategic Communications Director, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the internal communications and engagement strategy to support our Trust's priorities and vision. This will involve collaborating closely with senior leaders and departments to ensure communication and engagement efforts are integrated with our Trust's goals.

  • Develop and Implement Strategy: Utilize your expertise to create and execute a comprehensive internal communications and engagement strategy that aligns with our Trust's objectives.
  • Lead as a Business Partner: Establish internal communications and engagement as a trusted and highly-valued business partner, providing counsel and support to senior leaders and departments.
  • Support Transformation and Innovation: Partner with teams to support our Trust's work on continuous improvement, transformation, and innovation.

This role is part of our senior communications and engagement team, deputising for the Director of Communications along with the other senior members of the team.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a Master's degree and/or equivalent level of skills or experience in the communications field. Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Educated to Masters degree level and/or equivalent level of skills or experience plus training and/or experience in the communications field to degree-level equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
