About the Role

Care in Mind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Stubble Bank. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-30 with mental health needs, including personality disorder, disordered eating, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support young people with daily living tasks, meal preparation, food shopping, and medication administration.
  • Prompt for self-care, medical appointments, and general upkeep of their home.
  • Engage in activities outside of the home, such as clothes shopping, swimming, meals out, and youth clubs.
  • Manage incidents, de-escalate challenging behaviors, and complete online records, report writing, audits, and medication management.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working in a team and an understanding of the issues young people face.
  • Good written communication skills, IT skills, and the ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
  • Able to work the night shift, including weekends, bank holidays, and occasional days for training.
