About the Role

Care in Mind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Stubble Bank. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-30 with mental health needs, including personality disorder, disordered eating, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support young people with daily living tasks, meal preparation, and food shopping
  • Prompt for self-care, medication administration, and medical appointments
  • Assist with general upkeep of the home and participate in activities with the young people, such as clothes shopping, swimming, and cinema trips
  • Manage incidents, de-escalate challenging behaviors, and complete online records and report writing

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working in a team and an understanding of the issues young people face
  • Good written communication skills, IT skills, and the ability to write basic reports and record information accurately
  • Able to work the night shift, including weekends, bank holidays, and occasional days for training
