About the Role
Care in Mind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Stubble Bank, a 6-bed residential service for young people aged 16-30 years old. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people with their daily living needs, including meal preparation, food shopping, and prompting for self-care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people with their daily living needs, including meal preparation, food shopping, and prompting for self-care.
- Administer medication and complete online care records.
- Provide effective handovers to day staff and maintain a safe and homely environment.
- Support young people with their education and life skills, including household tasks and personal care.
- Manage incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with the residential and clinical team to provide a therapeutic approach to supporting our young people.
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a team and an understanding of the issues young people face.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Able to work the night shift, including weekends, bank holidays, and occasional days for training.

Care in Mind provides residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old, who require a high level of support to assist with difficulties they may have from self-harming, behavior, and emotional difficulties. Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to help them achieve their individual goals, in preparation for transition to adult life.
