About the Role

Care in Mind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Stubble Bank, a 6-bed residential service for young people aged 16-30 years old. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people to achieve their individual goals and prepare for transition to adult life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support young people with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, food shopping, and prompting for self-care
  • Administer medication and attend medical appointments
  • Assist with household tasks and maintain a homely environment
  • Update online care records and complete reports
  • Manage incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviors

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working in a team and with young people
  • Understanding of the issues young people face
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
